Nominate an Inspiring Young Nigerian for The Future Awards 2013

 

“It has been seven years of inspiring young Nigerian leaders across the country. We have visited 23 states with the awards, the town hall meetings, conferences amongst others and we have touched thousands of lives. That legacy will remain. 
 

This year however, after visiting Ghana, South Africa and Ethiopia, we are excited to announce that The Future Awards will go continental for the first time – and this move is timed to coincide with the just-concluded 50th anniversary celebration of the African Union.” Those are the words of Chude Jideonwo, who is executive director of The Future Project on the exciting calendar schedule  of the 8th Season of The Future Awards Project.

This edition is hosted in partnership with the youth office to the African Union Commission, based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia and the nominations for the awards biggest prize; Young Person of the Year is Africa-based. Judges for the awards will be disclosed in a statement next week.

R2Bees wins Artiste of Year while Wizkid wins African Artist of the Year at 2013 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards

 

Tema-based music duo, R2Bees were at the wee hours of Sunday crowned Artiste of the Year at the 2013 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.

The event which came off at the Accra International Conference Centre saw the group beat off competition from D-Black, VIP, Kwaw Kese, Cwesi Oteng and 4X4 to win the coveted award which for the first time came with a prize of a brand new MG 550 saloon car.

 R2Bees also walked home with five other awards including Hi-life Song of the Year, Hiplife Song of the Year, Group of the Year, and the Vodafone Most Popular Song of the Year.

Other winners on the night include Nigeria  Wizkid winning the African Artist of the year He beat P-Square, Iyanya, and Davido in Nigeria to win African Artist of the Year at the just concluded Ghana Music awards.
